Raging Battle

We find it incredible - "seemingly too unusual or improbable to be possible" - but true in that it is indeed unfolding (happening) before our very eyes:

The Word of God, on one hand dismissed by many today as being an outdated religious book that need not be taken seriously, is on the other hand seen as one of the world's greatest threats to our culture today.  Why is this the case?

The Bible makes many Truth claims that are narrow.  This narrow scope of Truth (e.g., Jesus' own statements in Matthew 7:13,14, John 10:7,8; John 14:6, etc., to name but a few) is simply offensive to a world seeking to synchronize opposing worldview positions.  One major option this group has in dealing with those who offer narrow truth (this is actually apart of the very definition of the term - truth, by its very quality, is narrow!) is to reject these Truth claims whereby they can go on to offer a man-made religion that contributes to a global system without contradictory truth appeals.  It is actually getting to the place where history is once again repeating itself.  As Jesus was condemned for His Truth statement in Luke 22:66-71, so too are His followers being persecuted for simply stating Truth.  Truth, as God defines it in His Word - this is the claim of the primary source (the Bible) as stated on the preceding web page - has now become today's greatest enemy in the mind of the earth dwellers who are building a global system that rejects the clear teachings of God in Christ Jesus.  It is for this reason, among others, that the Word of God is seen to be such a threat today.  Religions are a major source of war and unrest, they say.  Therefore, they conclude, we must reject and even remove this source of contention so that we can have a world without war.  What they fail to recognize is that the father of this world, the devil himself, has blinded their eyes whereby they do not even discern their flagrant contradictions (e.g., trying to harmonize religious systems that cannot be synchronized, to name only one of many contradictions they embrace).  This concern just happens to be another reason why the Word of God is seen to be an evil influence in secular society today.

The Scriptures state time and time again that the theme of deception will be a major way in which the evil one will be able to one day seek to control the world through a global system.  For more details about the Truth statements concerning our days - days prior to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ - please click one of the sites immediately below.

As Jesus Christ has become an offense, so too has the Word of God (and His faithful followers who persist in calling for obedience to the Bible) become an enemy today.

C.S. Lewis brought an interesting comment years ago in Mere Christianity:

I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing
that people often say about Him: "I'm ready to accept Jesus as a great
moral teacher, but I don't accept His claim to be God."  That is the one
thing we must not say.  A man who was merely a man and said the sort
of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher.  He would either
be a lunatic--on a level with the man who says he is a poached egg--or
else he would be the Devil of Hell.  You must make your choice.  Either
this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something
worse.  You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him
as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God.  But
let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great
human teacher.  He has not left that open to us.  He did not intend to.

A statement to the same effect needs to be made of the Word of God.  I will use Lewis' statement above as an outline to do so:

I am trying here to prevent anyone from saying the really foolish thing that
people often say about the Bible: "I'm ready to accept it as a book with some
good things in it, but I don't accept its claim that it is actually the Word of God."
That is the one thing we must not say.  A book that claims to be the Word of
God when it is actually not such would not be an honest source.  It would either
be a known deception or, due to ignorance, a source offering false hope.  You
must make your choice.  Either this book is what it says it is: the Word of God,
or else a hoax, an intentional deception or something worse.  You can call it an
outdated source, you can twist it to say something that it does not, you can
label it as the greatest threat to world peace, or you can accept it for what it
claims to be.  But let us not come up with any patronizing nonsense about it
being a book with some good things in it.  It does not leave that option open
to us, nor did its Author intend us to.

Moving on to the final page of this web site, how can we share our LORD's eternal Truths with others?  Are there ways to offer Truths in a society that has embraced the agnostic, skeptical contradiction that one cannot know Truth?  Yes there is!
